Key Partners: CPW, River Watch organization
Measurable Outcomes
Outcome 1: Stream/river sampled (1 sites/plots)
Outcome 2: Stream/river sampled (8 samples)
Short Description of Activity
This was a special sampling event which required duplicates of filtered and unfiltered metal samples as well as filtered and unfiltered blank samples done with DI water for quality control purposes. Also this was the high flow time of year on the river which required samples for nutrients and duplicates were also required for these two samples. Preparation was done on 4/20/25 and sampling on 4/21/25. These samples had to arrive cold in Denver so were mailed in cooler on 4/22/25. In addition in April, I was required to participate in another quality control activity. I was sent three “Unknowns” to test for pH, Hardness, and Alkalinity. Two test protocols were done on each sample. All activities were completed on 4/29/25 before the deadline of 4/30/25.
Reflection/Evaluation
The goal is to monthly sample at the site on the Uncompahgre River in Confluence Park following all requirements to ensure reliable data is produced. The event went well. This event had additional requirements beyond the normal sampling event.
