Short Description of Activity
Jenny prepared the letter and Yavapai Group Sierra Club approved the scoping response – Gary Beverly and Russ Pilcher signed for the Sierra Club. They are exploring for limestone to add to their raw material in the production of Portland Cement. We toured the plant Feb 6 – six of us from Broads, Sierra Club, CWAG, AND CAWA.
Reflection/Evaluation
We do not object to Drakes exploratory drilling but insist on the following environmental, wildlife, archaeological, biological, recreational, and historical concerns. Sally has been copied. Before becoming broadband leader, Jenny would four-wheel in this area with two others and we noted old gravesites from the town of Drake which was destroyed by Drake Cement when they built. Our broadband has addressed several other Drake issues over the past 12 years.
