Short Description of Activity
Ongoing meetings with group pushing to have bridge built over a Wild and Scenic area on the Deschutes River. These meetings are social events to draw support.
Reflection/Evaluation
This issue has come up numerous times and then it goes away and then this group brings it up again. The last public meeting with the Park district, they heard this group out but are not moving forward to build a bridge specifically where this group wants it. Concerns of litigation as well as this is not a priority from Forest Service, which they would need, as well as private landowners support which they don’t have. Parking is also a huge issue. I went to this meeting to play the role of “mole”.
