Reflection/Evaluation

Discussions about the status of what is going on with the Trump Administration – rollbacks on NEPA, targets on public lands, EO ordering more taking of lumber and logging, minimizing public input, privatization of public lands and/or selling of public lands – which in Bend is under the guise of needing more housing. Questioning why scientist are agreeing with Trump and all the political loyalty. Worried about the “Fix our Forest Act” as well as the ES Act being weakened. Did discuss some wins but we will continue to deal with the chaos. The take aways are getting expert information from state agencies and document and send to Federal agencies. Comments about what you are seeing on the ground and send that to Federal agencies. We need to be noisy! Track projects , sign-up for government websites with their project information. Report what you see with photos. Look for roads in areas they should not be and take photos of damage…show up for meetings and write postcards.
