Reflection/Evaluation
At times it seems like you hear the same message without any substance. Merkley shares his concerns with Fix our Forests, but he has a background in forestry and so he “also” see’s some good stuff in it. Bynum appoligized that she voted for it in the house, and again her message is for everyone to once a week send her staff the 5 things they are most concerned about. She said she wants to support public lands protections. Merkley said he is looking at working with colloboratives and categorical exclusions – not all colloboratives are great and CE’s is what is being used to do business as usual. I did prepare my message and concerns ahead of time and typed those up and gave those to staff.
