Key Issue: Wildlife Protection
Activity Type: Trainings (WALTS, CAREs/GLOWs, research, conferences, workshops, etc.)
Key Partners: Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation
Short Description of Activity
This training certifies participants to use a nature mapping app to contribute data to a couple of projects. We learned how to enter information in the app, how to identify some species, and how the data is used. One use is to determine best locations for wildlife underpasses and overpasses.
Reflection/Evaluation
Teton County Idaho is included in the area that we can survey, which makes the project more attractive to WHALES living in Idaho. I will participate this year, and hope to recruit more WHALES to join next year.
