Short Description of Activity
We surveyed and documented rare plants – Bell’s Twinpod, along Redstone Road near Masonville, CO.
Reflection/Evaluation
We found 182 plants along the road and a short distance away using binoculars. We took photos of the plants and their locations and made note of the habitat, which helped us find more of the plants. The information given to us by CNHP was very useful in finding the locations and habitat. It was along a private road. We submitted data to iNaturalist, and when the observations acquired “research grade” quality, they were added to the CNHP project. The three observers found delight in the plants blooming and found one plant in the ‘twin pod” stage of phenology.
