Short Description of Activity
The 2nd quarterly gathering of Aldo’s Broadband book club was held at one of the member’s house. Twelve folks attended, which was good attendance considering schedule conflicts etc. We started with refreshments and mingling, followed by introductions, very engaging conversation about the book and related topics, and follow-up discussion about ideas for selecting books etc. moving forward.
Reflection/Evaluation
The gathering went very well and folks enjoyed it. We think that this function will help meet our goal of offering a new broadband activity for everyone, including those who may not hike much anymore. We shared one advocacy topic and had a handout available on an upcoming rally. We also hope that it may encourage more active involvement within the broadband in other ways too. In addition to sharing ideas on the incredible book that we read, conversation turned to current events, including the removal of public land at the border from public access, etc.
