Short Description of Activity
Normal sampling event. Preparation was done on 7/20/25, sampling, and protocols were done on 7/21/25; data were submitted online to River Watch on same date. Protocols (pH, alkalinity, and hardness) were conducted on one sample, oxygenation is based on another sample. Two Metal samples (filtered and unfiltered) which are analyzed in Denver were gathered. Metal samples and all documentation from this event were held until next sampling event. A potential future volunteer from our broadband assisted me at this event. She decided not to pursue training with River Watch this coming fall. The time commitment for the training and ongoing volunteering monthly is more than many people are able to do.
Reflection/Evaluation
The goal is to monthly sample at the site on the Uncompahgre River in Confluence Park following all requirements to ensure reliable data is produced. The event went well.
