Short Description of Activity
County Commissioners looking at updating code for lighting in the county which impacts Dark Skys.
Reflection/Evaluation
This has been an ongoing work in progress for the past 4 years. The county is now beginning to understand the importance of nightskies, economically and personally. The biggest issues are enforcement and compliance. I shared comments of a big educational component to get compliance. I would love to once again be able to see stars in my backyard with a change in lighting requirements along with time limitations when lights need to be turned off.
