Key Partners: Greater Wasatch Broadband, League of Women Voters
Short Description of Activity
The Broadband participated in a Civics Festival hosted by the League of Women Voters in Weber County. It was held at county park and had several vendors including the league, several city council candidates, and other community organizations. It was National Public Lands Day, so our broadband created a game with five questions about state, national, and local parks, wilderness, and rivers. Unfortunately, the event was very poorly attended. It was developed for families but not very many children attended. We will use our questions at the next Earth Day event.
Reflection/Evaluation
It was an event that drew few people, but we were able to make contact with several organizations that will be good future partners including Ogden Strong Towns and A Boulder Way Forward for Utah.
