You are cordially invited to join the PNW Broadbands for their Mount St Helen’s Broadwalk Lawetlat’la—Land in Transformation Regional Broadwalk, August 7 – 11, 2024, located at the Mount St Helen’s Institute (approximately 7 miles from the crater of Mount St Helens).

We have confirmed some exciting speakers including John Major, volcanologist with the U.S. Geological Survey, Tanna Engdahl of the Cowlitz Tribe, retired U.S. Forest Service official Susan Saul, and others. We will be exploring the development of the monument and implications of the volcanic eruption and the recovery of the landscape. And of course we will be hiking, and joining Mount St. Helen’s Institute for on-site stewardship opportunities.

And don’t miss the Saturday night “Dance Off” party while we enjoy music from the ‘80s!

Camping is included in the fee, and will be located a quarter mile from the Institute where there will be a port-a-potty available (bring your own water), and RVs will be parked in the parking lot.

For an additional fee, lodging is also available in either a bunkhouse, or on patio cots under the stars (only 8 spots for the bunkhouse and 8 spots for the patio cot option are available) .

Restrooms and running water are available to everyone at the Learning Center (sorry, no showers). All meals are included.

Cost:

$375 per person, which includes camping fees and all meals. (Bunkhouse or patio cots sleeping option is an additional $75).
