Short Description of Activity
After receiving input, our Borderlands Committee facilitator and sent a letter to U.S. Senator M. Heinrich, asking if he would consider initiating a “Dear Colleague” letter to his fellow Senators. This letter would request the rescinding of all border wall funding for construction; the transfer of at least $225 million from DHS to DOI and USFS to remediate damage from wall construction, etc. (See attached draft letter)
Reflection/Evaluation
Have not heard yet, but will ask at our next Borderlands Committee meeting.
